A turning point, the fates unkind,
Thou promised me a darkened fate,
Yet every glance reveals to find
The selfsame face I did berate.
We bargained low, I questioned why
Among the felines, hound doth stray,
And now, me coffee cups pile high,
I ponder still, and rue the day.
