“Way Back Home”

Sadie hadn’t time to think
And painted questions in her mind;
A baggy sweater where she sinks,
A trucker hat to cross the line.

We’re gonna leave as fast as words,
So pack your suitcase, take some beer;
We’re gonna smash the world we know
On our way back home, so…

Say goodbye,
This is now and this is here,
Will we leave our shit behind our broken backs?
Will you come with me?
And if I leave, if I turn the other way
Would you still believe in all my promises?
Would you come with me?

Sadie hadn’t time to breathe
But let the road swallow her lungs,
She took her pillow, some clichés,
A CD with her favorite songs.

We’ll share a rooftop made of truths,
Rebuild a life, never back-track,
Sadie, keep pace with my shoes,
Wear your gasmask and just

Say goodbye,
This is now and this is here,
Will we leave our shit behind our broken backs?
Will you come with me?
And if I leave, if I turn the other way
Would you still believe in all my promises?
Would you come with me?
