I know thou hearken the vastness ‘n the sand, this eve,
Seated by the river’s edge with all to declare
And I hear thee silent through mine eyes bereave
Whilst I linger in the frozen remorse of my errors’ snare
For thou art all I needed at the twilight’s hues
To wash away the prose of torment true,
Swallowed by the wind, stones upon a path,
Whilst I linger amidst another deceitful aftermath.
Thou art all that my evening required,
A firmament I conceal walking homeward,
Chewed by the rain of lights and discourse inspired,
Whilst I begin to forget the phantoms I once revered
And take me away from what thou dost call life
Now that ‘tis been felt the vastness of what I call life.
